Decoder installation on BR 211/212 for N (1:160)

Locomotive:        Arnold BR 211/212
Decoder:             Flieschmann withouth sound NEM651 (6 pins)- FLM-685502-158436/ 35 mm cable lenght
Digital формат:   DCC
Interface:            No
Milling:                No

One very simple for digitalizing locomotive that made me crazy because of very simple reason- dirty wheels but let's start.

Remove the roof and unscrew to remove the hollow

Remove the bulbs and after remove the semiconducor discs on both ends

Remove the powering lamellas and the capacitor. It is good time to clean inside - you can see how many dirt ... and we need to remove the motor as well.

If we'd like to keep the bulbs solder the wire to the bulb's bud

On place of silicium disks put the insolation

One pole of machine is the corpus. There is no place where the additional wire could be connected exept the place where  the srew was attached. So I'll make thiner one of the screw and after will solder the black decoder wire to it.

Cut the plate where  the second powering plate was attached

Put the double side insolation on the place after wire soldering

I've decided to replace the bulbs with LEDs. On bulb's location I'll put the resistor and SMD LED. Insolation of place is required. Solder the LED as close as possible to the base of resistor (750 Ohm/0,5W)

Put the small amount of solder on the baseand solder the resistor to it

...and the same on oposite end

Put the decoder and solder the wires

Yellow- back lights
White- Front lights
Blcak- already soldered for the corpus
Red - to the cut plate
Orange and gray to the motor

And go on the rails..
